The objective of our website is to be as informative as possible about the parish of Stokenchurch and how the community operates within it.
To make it as easy as possible for you to find the information you may be looking for, the site has been divided into four key sections; 'Village News', 'Our Village', 'The Parish Council', (including a guide to what happens at council meetings), and 'Living in Stokenchurch'. A fifth section, 'A Simple Guide to Local Government' has been included to explain which local authority is responsible for the services you pay for through your council tax
The meetings of the Parish Council are open to all, and I would encourage as many people as possible to attend. We are all stakeholders in the life of the Community.
The 'Living in Stokenchurch' section will be of particular use to anyone who has just moved into the village. It may however make longer term residents aware of the wide range of facilities that are available in and around the area.
I welcome any comments that you may have. If you spot any errors, if you feel some of the matters dealt with are ambiguous, if you feel something has been left out or if you simply want to make an observation or ask a question, please send an e-mail to John Capell, the Parish Clerk - clerk@stokenchurch.org.uk and we will do what we can to address what you say.
Malcolm Penny
Chairman, Stokenchurch Parish Council
