Welcome to the Stokenchurch Parish Council website. As you may know a small part of your council tax goes to funding local projects in the parish of Stokenchurch and the parish council administer the spending of the money.
The Parish of Stokenchurch not only includes the village of Stokenchurch but also the hamlets of Studley Green, Beacon's Bottom, Horsleys Green and Waterend.
The facilities that the Parish Council must provide are the cemetery and the allotments. The cemetery is situated behind the church and can be accessed through the car park at Longburrow Hall; it is for the use of all denominations. The allotments are situated along Cricket Ground Lane and at Waterend.
The Parish Council also funds the three play areas at Studley Green Community Centre, Longburrow Hall and Cricket Ground Lane and maintains the village hall known as Longburrow Hall off Park Lane.
All the street lighting is provided by the Parish Council (unless funded by Bucks County Council) please let us know of any repairs.
Many of the trees in the Parish are also maintained by the Parish Council and wherever possible if trees have to be removed new ones are planted.
The Parish Council also has the ability to comment on any planning issues and the Councillors take pride in representing the parishoner's views. If you have any pressing matters please contact the Clerk.
The Council is always accessible by holding two meetings a month usually on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Please come along, or if you are unable to attend, email or write to the Clerk with your views and comments. These can then be discussed at the next available meeting.
I look forward to hearing your views at the next meeting.
