Council Services
The Parish Council provide a number of services to the village including the provision and maintenance of playgrounds and the upkeep of the village greens. They are also responsible for Longburrow Hall, the cemeteries and the allotments close by the Medical Centre and at Water End.
Details of the conditions and charges for these services are shown below.
Longburrow Hall
Longburrow Hall is located just off of Park Lane. Leave the A40 just before the King's Hotel on the village green and take Church Street down to the 'Royal Oak' public house. Park Lane is the road immediately adjacent to the pub. Longburrow is on the left just beyond Briarswood Close.
The hall has facilities for the disabled. There is ample car parking. It is a 'Non Smoking' venue.
The licence for the premises only covers the hirer for certain events. If the event or function involves the sale of alcohol it will be necessary to apply in writing to the parish council so that a 'Temporary Event Notice' (TEN) can be issued (Licensing Act 2003).
The charges for the hall are:

These charges include the use of the kitchen and bar facilities, which may have to be shared if separate bookings are made for each hall. We do not supply glasses, saucepans, baking trays, cooking utensils, corkscrews, black bags, can openers, tea towels or washing up liquid.
The dimensions and capacities of the two halls are as follows:

The tables are 4ft x 2ft. There are 151 chairs and 40 tables.
Payment Details
- 50% of the invoice is payable immediately, with the balance one month in advance of the event. In addition a further £100 deposit will be requested (which is refundable providing the terms and conditions of hire are adhered to). Block bookings should be paid monthly in advance.
- Cancellations prior to the month before the date of the function are subject to an administration charge of £5 and a £25 charge within a month of the event. Subletting is not permitted.
- If the hall is not left in the way in which it was first found then a charge of £25 will usually be deducted from the full refundable amount (at the discretion of the Parish Council).
- For security reasons if a hirer of the hall were to loose the front door key then a charge of £10 will be incurred.
- The Parish Council reserve the right to refuse bookings and access.

Instructions should the Fire Alarm be activated.
If the fire alarm is sounding please follow the procedure below:
- Check if there is a fire throughout the hall.
- Remove key from top of fire alarm box.
- Put key in keyhole below power light.
- Turn key in lock towards the right (45 degrees).
- Then press Silence button.
- Next press Reset button.
- The alarm should stop sounding.
- Turn key in lock back to centre & replace on top of fire alarm box.
Stokenchurch Cemetery
All memorials need to be approved by the Parish Council. They are only available to parish residents and former residents. No pre-purchase or reservation of plots is permitted. No kerbs are permitted to graves.

Stokenchurch and Water End Allotments
